i finally ordered this.

i had it shipped home, hopefully it will be delivered when i'm there!

i've been pining after this camera for years and i finally decided to spend the money on it. three weeks of summer camp for this camera. money that could be spent on books or study abroad. but i'll work this summer. i'll try to get a job on campus next year. any time i've needed/wanted a job i've been able to find one.

and i'm going to take the best photographs ever.

life is good.

housing worked out excellently for next year; we didn't get the suite we wanted but we're going to stay on our floor. and what is even better: all of our friends are staying here too! so next year is going to be great too.

i started looking at schedules for next semester, so far it's very similar to my schedule this semester.

i have also been attempting to acquire a job for this summer. so far it's either
1) lighthouse, if i can reach john
2) harvey camp, even though there's 6 people who'd like 1 spot
3) caramoor, in the box office, if i can schedule an interview and get hired

we'll see.

binghamton is amazing.

buttermilk falls. )

dad, carla, drew and i took a trip to ithaca. we went to buttermilk falls and hiked to almost the top of the fall. it was beautiful. i will post the rest of the photos later this week.

after the hike we headed to cornell's collegetown for delicious bagels and to explore the campus. fortunately claude was around so we dropped by her dorm for a bit.

it was a very good weekend, great to be with family and friends.

beauty. [25 Oct 2007|11:12am]

new hampshire, late july. my second cousin jon was married here. i had never been to a wedding before (if i had, i must have been too young to remember.) it was a beautiful service - short but meaningful.

you can't tell from the photo the true beauty of the location; perfect weather, a huge open field, surrounded by trees and mountains.

---

i love being here at binghamton university. it has such a collegiate atmosphere - there are many options when it comes to classes, and so many things going on around campus.

i don't like the architecture but then again, it is an engineering school. and even though the arts program is small, its welcoming.

when i walk around campus i just feel so fortunate to be here. i am truly lucky. still... even though its mid-semester. i guess the shock and relief of actually getting out of my hometown still hasn't worn off. i had been looking forward to graduation and moving onwards for so long it still doesn't feel like a reality.
